Mantis hood pics?
#2
I have been asking for awhile to see a pic, My buddy down the street, sent his site a e-mail and they said all of the 1st batch was sent out. But I have not found anyone who has gotten hood, one guy replied back to a pm i sent him and said he had to get his Credit Card company to get a refund due to them not sending product, and not replying to his e-mail.. great looking product, hope it has all worked out now.

ya I ordered a dash kit from him like 6 months ago still with no sign of it, I knew he just needed to finish them off but I didn't realize it would take so long. And I haven't heard back from him after my pms and emails, besides that though manntis is awesome I got the other things I ordered from him quickly.

Okay, let's address a few things.
A few people didn't receive clocks, and as soon as I was notified the item wasn't receved, you got a refund - not from daniel whittington, a former member of this forum who was making the clocks and vanished with your money, but from me personally. Check your Papal history - if you have NOT received the clock nor a refund, email me your original transaction ID. It's possible with the volume of PayPal transactions I process that one or two slipped through the cracks.
To date I've had trouble with rotor clocks (discontinued, as Danny boy, buyitrightnow@hotmail.com, ran off with 10 orders worth of money and refuses to answer calls at his number - anyone who wants it PM me); Savannah badges taking months to arrive, but that's more to do with shipping from Australia than anything, and cup holder units which in the old design were functional but looked home-built and the new design which insists on self-destructing (warping) after a month or so. Don't even get me started on CP Racing - long story short we don't list their stuff anymore.
Those of you who ordered the stereo bracket/cupholder units were ordering something clearly marked 'out of stock' and informed the new ones were not yet ready. When time is of the essence (your dash is apart and its your daily driver) you have the option of requesting a refund.
Shifter boots and pulleys usually arrive promptly, and they're items I most often process orders for. Right now BIll Tellotte, maker of the boots, isn't responding to emails but in the past he's always been reliable so I'm giving it a few more days - it's possible he's on vacation or otherwise away from his computer.
I'm working hard to reduce the shipping times and supplier numbers; in fact a Mazda rep made a deal with me last week to offer stock parts for about 25% off. We're still tooling the details but this would also allow me to move far more production in-house. That is, everything but stock parts made and packaged in one location, ready to go, so when you place an order it ships the same day and I'd have the tracking #s to show for it.
To those who are very satisfied, thanks. To those a little disgruntled, I'll work with you to settle your concerns. To those just plain feeling burnt (you paid and didn't get product nor a refund) let me know at orders@rotorhead.ca
Oh, and Mark... my 'story' of Pam Anderson being the previous owner is confirmed. I bought the car off R. Cavanaugh, who bought it from Pam's recently-dumped fiancé. I telephoned him and he confirmed that, though he held legal title to it through ICBC (Insurance Corporation of British Columbia) all the tickets she received behind the wheel document that she was in fact its driver. Before you use a thread to get in digs just because you're pissed at me for the little flame war you tried to start with me a few months back don't go making unfounded accusations.

If you say ship to st-jerome, quebec, and it's sent there, then you tell me you have moved to
lafontaine, how am I the bad guy? You were in a completely different town than where you told me to send your stuff, then complain you didn't get it?

New Hood? I would like to see.
I am having clearcoat fade on my hood, Any tips on how to atleast slow the fade down? I dont really want to repaint, but I might replace it with the Hood Manntis made.

Look it's not important what i believe, right ? whats important is what you believe.
it's just a car nothing to get defensive over or obsessed to the point of tracking down an address and sniffing the seat, man. About the hoods, did you have your craftsman produce any carbon hoods ? i wouldn't mind seeing a couple of pics of an installed 'manntis' carbon hood. I've been on this forum for a long time now, i've seen'um come and go and i know when selling a product or service the goal is to have happy customers wouldn't you agree. it almost sounds like the passion was killed along with the car and the selling is getting to be a hassle dealing with suppliers and customers (ie) emails. Again there is not enough custom parts sellers for the 1st gen and i want to hear nothing but, good business. Every single customer i've had i make them happy or offer to refund thier dollors all in a timely manner. the problem with being the ' middle man' is that suppliers can and will leave a dealer high 'n dry with no warning and then there are the punk crooks who just burn people leaving a dealer to deal with the pissed off customer(s). So... i will still think your a good guy D'arcy, sorry.

Hum when i ordered, adress was in Lafontaine ... because my city has join st-jerome area later that year (2004), they accepted both for 1 year. Now we have to write st-jerome, but i still received my cell phone bills on the lafontaine adress 4 months ago. When i ordered on my old adress, even if i was in st-jerome now, didn't have any problems, so why didn't i get my rotor clock? i don't know. I'm sure your not a bad guy, but when i buy something, if i can't get it, i want my money back. Everybody will agree with me on this point, it is the responsability of the seller to send the goods or refund it. I don't understand, i have bought a lot of things on the internet, never had a problem with shipping, so i don't think its my problem. Even if you wrote lafontaine on the box, it would have arrived at my home.. Yes, i am happy that you refunded me the book, but the 50 bucks clock wasn't refund. So Lafontaine and St-Jerome is the SAME city... we just had a fusion with st-jerome, but the old adress was working at the time i ordered the stuff from you.
But anyway, i will not make a huge story with this, just a little bit disapointed.
