Making the leap to FI and FI, neep a few thoughts.

So I wrangled a S5 13BT w/12A front cover and fresh rebuild, trans, and ECU (and harnesses and it will be an RTek ECU after I get it) on the cheap. They're going into my 84GS, so from carb to fuel injected force induction.

My most main concern is that of getting fuel to the motor. What sorts of modifications will I have to make the the fuel system?

I searched, but couldn't find what I was looking for.

I will be doing an external walboro pump, but what about the tank and lines? Any modifications? Or should the stock system be able to handle the increased load?

I'd get/make a surge tank so there aren't any fuel-slosh issues. You will, of course, need fuel lines rated for EFI pressures, and you'll want a bigger return line. I'm going to be using a stock 5/16" send line as a return.

I'm so stoked about this project.

And the whole thing cost me $650!!!!!!!!!

I love me a stock FB , but $650? I'll end up spending a good $2000-$3000 on everything else, though.

We'll be putting in a GSL rear end, RE Speed steering upgrade, Tokico illuminas, RE Speed or RB springs and sway bars, strut bars, and a whole mess of other goodies. Pretty much my dream car. And it will be done well.

RX-7Doctor PM'd me on the fuel system, and I may pursue him on it.

I'll probably pull the whole engine harness, too. The guy I got this all from was going to swap it into a B2200, so he needs it all.
