Make sure your battery is secure!!!

About 20,000 miles ago, my battery secure tie rod dealie came loose and my battery flopped over to a part of my engine and ended up throwing battery acid all over the place... see that rust on the hood.... NOT GOOD. hehehe so do me a favor, and all of you go outside and look at your battery tie down secure thingie and make sure it's nice and tight...

Anyone know if I can run one of those redtop Optimas without a battery box for SCCA? I believe the rules say it has to be a gel cell in order to be box-free, and the Optima is sealed, but I don't think it's really a gel cell.

by battery secure tie broke and didn't know, and as i was playing around on the road, the battery went smack into my dizzy and cracked the dizzy housing and and crack up one of my spark packs mounted on the side!!! and it wasnt cheap to fix!!! now my battery is been moved to the rear!!
