Main cat replacement for cheep

So. . . I bolted on a RB header to my stock exaust. I turn it on and there is a HUGE leak coming out of the main cat in a few places. Stupidly loud now, and not driveable if you ask me.

What should I get to replace the main cat? I dont' have emissions testing here, and have lost my airpump a good bit back. I would really like to not increase the noise levels too much if I can get away with it. (I realize that they will go up from stock with just the header)

Should I be looking at replacement cats that I can weld in, or should I be looking at silencers/resonators?

I've got a piece of pipe in place of the main cat, and while it's loud, it's not obnoxious by any means. It'd be a good temporary fix, at least.

Yeah, if you can afford it go with the RB presilencer...

Ya, thats the issue, I can't afford it.

I don't want to deal with the noise of a straight pipe without some sort of silencing. Any suggestions on other types of resonators?

I don't know of any other type of resonator/presilencer that will actually stand up to the heat.
