My best guess is that Race series is non-street legal and doesn't pass emissions, but gives that much more power (and noise!)

Can't help you there. I'd say try mazdatrix, rotaryshack, all the usual places people refer others to for help on this board.
Although, as I udnerstand it, aren't RB the way to go for exhaust stuff?

Go for it. If nothing else, ask around your town exhaust shops, hell, look on Ebay. I'm sure you'll find it. Tell us how that turns out

Magnaflow

I have a ss magnaflow with a small ss resinator midway coming off of a straight exhaust from the manifold and it sounds great. It's now quiet, but then again not too load. This eBay seller handles them.

exhaust

I just stayed with a 21/2" exhaust. You might consider putting some kind of presilencer on ahead of the muffler or small s/s resinator or it will probably be pretty loud.
I just went to a muffler shop and they custom made my pipe and welded everything up. Not everyone will do that if it calls for a cat though, so you might want to check ahead of time. Most will do waht you want as long as they don;t have to remove a cat or any related smog devices.
