Lowering and Suspension help

Hey guys just a month ago I bought my first Fb Gsl with 73k original miles and it looks beautiful. I already have a whole track car build going on so I just want to daily drive this in style. The problem is that I've been reading up and it seems as though lowering Fb's more than an inch or so is actually quite difficult due to the rear suspension and its geometry. I'm trying to get more than an inch in the rear and lower it all around to have nice fitment. I tried Re-speed and other websites but they were either out of order or way too expensive. Does anyone know of a place where I can buy coils and/or springs or any sort of conversion that is cost effective and doesn't require tons of breaking/welding/insane anger problems? Thanks guys!

Welcome to forum. If you lower a first gen RX7 it will cause the rear suspension to bind up and stop the squat effect that aids rear traction and car will wheel spin easily and become an un controllable tail happy monster

Piece together an Eibach Ground Control weld on kit. You can find a large variety of different spring lengths and rates.

Do you have any info on this or a link to someone with the setup? I'd be curious to build one of these setups for my current car. I don't think I've heard it mentioned before - that's why I ask

TechnoToyTuning has front and rear coilovers available. Pricey yes but not actually much more than piecing together stuff from RE-Speed or GC. My FB isn't SLAMMED but it's pretty low, probably a few inches lower than stock. Enough that I scrap the centre muffler over most driveways and speed bumps. I'm running a Racing Beat rear bar set to full stiff, poly bushings everywhere but the front and rear lower control arms. Front arms are custom A-arms with spherical bearings and rears are RE-Speed LCAs with spherical bearings. I have had no controllability issues. I've had it out at a lapping day at Toronto Motorsports Park which is a pretty fast, technical course and the only reason it would get sideways or backwards was because I wasn't smart enough to stay off the racing line when it was wet. The car was actually very controllable even as low as I have it. I made 66 complete laps and was very comfortable throwing the car through the corners. While I may not have a perfect setup for the track I never once felt the car wasn't controllable. If you're just building a street cruiser that sits nice n low, you'll be just fine.

Ground Control has been around since the mid 90's, everyone before Respeed had GC stuff.

the technotoy uses their own camber plate, but the rest is GC
