Loud whining sound from rear wheels.

I have a 84 GS pretty much stock but she has the rear axle from a 83 gsl swapped in. Lately i have had a loud whining noise coming from the rear drivers side wheel area. It only seems to happen when turning right or depressing the brake pedal lightly. My girlfriend described it as my car farting. My father, who is a mechanic, says he saw nothing wrong with the braking system. However, within the past week i have started getting a bit of pulsation as if the rotor is warping. Any ideas?

Leaking axle seal maybe dripping down onto braking surface.

Bearings usually make a growling noise and it gets louder over time.

I will check on the leaky grease on the rotor. I'm pretty sure it's not bearing noise ; it is louder, came on suddenly, and doesn't sound like your normal bearing growl.
