Loud vacum leak.

Ive been removing the rats nest off my 85 rx7 with the 12a. I followed the .PDF on Mazspeed.com pretty well. There was one section I didnt feel i needed because i have neither AC or cruise control. I blocked off all the ports for those though.

Whenever i start the car you can hear a pretty loud leak. I have no idea where it could be coming from, i did everything that the guild told me.

Anyone have any idea what could be leaking? perhaps something that alot of people overlook when tearing that **** out?

i did the same as you did tore everything out because i didnt have ac or cruise control...just recheck every little hose, and everything thats blocked off...there is more than likely a leak at a obvious spot...

Could it possibly be the vacuum that the carb is creating? Put your hand over the carb, it may suck your hand down over the primaries. Other than that, make sure all the ports on the carb spacer are blocked EXCEPT the second one on the right [looking at the carb spacer from the driver side].

The second port should be used for the vacuum advance.

It was actually the big block off plate was being obstructed a bit.
