Steve Miracle builds and sells the Rotary Compression Tester RCTV5 for less than $300 and always has a group buy or forum discounts on the forums or Facebook. It's a must have for a rotary enthusiast. It works perfectly and will save you a ton of time and money in the future. Should you decide to keep this car or own more 7's in the future, it is a must have.

Alright so heres the update. I found that one of the points had the rubbing block broken off. I decided i would go ahead and replace that point and see if it solved the issue rather than do the compression test first. It was quicker, cheaper, and I was pretty sure that was my issue. I swapped the new point in yesterday and reset my timing and the engine runs better than ever. I still plan to get a compression test done in the near future but for now I think I am in good shape. Thanks for the help guys! I've got another point and both condensers coming in the mail for peace of mind.

Good to hear, listened to your video several times and idle sounded a little lumpy but not like it had a complete compression loss.
A popular upgrade is to swap to an 81-85 FB distributor to get electronic ignition with more powerful spark that helps starting and performance a bit.Easy swap with minimal rewiring.

NICE save, in spite our Doom-&-Gloom!!
Yep, the FB upgrade in Dizzy is a smart one. Lots of write-ups here about the Process. Glad you dodged the Bullet.
