Lots of smoke...

So the tranny went out on my car and i wasn't able to work on it until recent. So basically i hadn't started it for a week and half. After i was done replacing the master cylinder i decided to start it and i got this vast amount of smoke from the exhaust. There was the big group of people behind me admiring christmas lights so i just turned my car off. If it matters, i left the car outside and its been kinda humid. Anyone help me out?

How long did it smoke? Starting up is no big deal but after it's warmed up it should be clean.

What color smoke?

Your oil pressure and level is ok? Coolant color look ok?

Did you spill anything lol? That's odd that it would do it all of a sudden.

Check all your connections. Check air filter and carb visual.

It was kinda dark so couldn't really distinguish.

And yeah everything was ok. Am i an idiot or

could it be a build up of moisture in the combustion

chambers?

smoke

1 You should not turn it off after only a minute. Always let it warm up before you shut it off.
2 A fair amount of blue smoke is normal on startup. More if it has been sitting for a longer time and much more as the oil control O rings get old and hard or when very cold
3 Oil smoke will be blue
4 Coolant will be white and smell "sweet" if you are running antifreeze as you should.

Perhaps it was just sitting for a while and built up some gunk that needed to be burnt off

Black smoke = rich fuel mixture
Blue smoke = burning oil (a little bit of blue smoke upon startup is NORMAL).
White smoke = coolant
