1 guy i know of got a large amount from his mom getting killed in a car wreck. he and his "friends" would come into the stereo shop i worked at and spend insane amounts of money. i think in a 2 week period i saw him spend almost 20k(in just stereo equipment). another person that knew him said that he went out and bought like 100 pairs of shoes(just for the hell of it). where is he now? im not sure but i know that hes broke,he friends ripped him off and left, and i think he even went to jail for a brief time.

In response to the 240sx/180sx question
In the U.S. there was the hatchback 240sx (180sx in other countries such as japan) and the notchback/coupe with pop up headlights (coupe with popup headlights only avaliable in North America i believe).
In Japan, there is the 240sx coupe with fixed headlights AKA the Siliva. There is the 180sx hatchback.
This info applies for the years 1988-1994. (1989-1994 for North America)
The stock engine from 1988 to 1991 in the JDM Siliva was the CA18DET (1.8 litre, DOHC, Turbo)
The stock JDM engine from 1992 to Current is the SR20DET (2.0 litre, DOHC, Turbo)
The stock USDM engine from 1989 to 1991 is the KA24E (2.4 litre, SOHC)
The stock USDM engine from 1992 to 1995(?) is the KA24DE (2.4 litre, DOHC)
Case Closed
(Plus, im seeing BS on this claim)

By the way... it's "an insane car," and ENTIRELY. The word intierly has yet to be added to the english lexicon.

I am actually dumber for having read this thread.
Just the mere fact that you would **** away the money (if he ever gives it to you... Hopefully the first thing he does with his money is have his head surgically removed from his ***) shows that you never appreciate something you don't earn.
Somebody hands me that kind of money, it's going into the bank. But no, you want to invest it into things that depreciate 30% or more the second you buy them. Good call. [/sarcasm]

Ok, ok ,ok...stop the flaming guys. This guy is probably new to the forum. And I personally like the laid back attitude on the 1st gen section. This guy would have been eaten alive in the 3rd gen section already.
So here it is and trust me on this one. If you are getting 75k take the money and invest 60 of it. Now that that is out of the way here is how you should build your car IMO.
Get a 13b-re with a large single and standalone FMS. Oh and of course have a large street port with all the internals and all the supporting mods for this much hp. And put it into a first gen. That should take up about 15-20k. So you have 5k left right? Save that for when your car breaks. And trust me it will. And re parts are not cheap by any means. 20b you are looking even more than that. Oh and yes you will be able to beat your friend with this much. The real question is will you kill yourself first? If it is a daily driver then it will not be streetable for the majority of the year. So you might want to buy a small little commuter vehicle, another 5k. Oh and yes be prepared to open your wallet for gas on that bad boy. Oh yeah and put it in a GSL-SE fb. There is one for sale locally right now for 500. IMO it is a good deal.
Where in Washington state are you located? If you are really serious about this then you are more than welcome to come out and check my swap and see how much is really entailed. Send me a PM we can work something out.
