Loose headlight washer

For those of you with factory-equipped with headlight washers, (Canada and Australia I believe).

One of my washers is loose. How do you get to it to tighten it? If I decide to take them right off, what do I plug the resulting hole with?

Um it all depends on weather you want them to work or not.

My first RX7 had one broken off (by orginal owner) The misters did not work when I got the car, so I just took the black rubber fitting and siliconed it in place.

It lasted as long as I needed it to...

But the misters did not work.

If you decide to remove them, I would suggest deer antlers to plug the holes...

Actually they don't work. I don't even hear any sort of pump working when I press the button. I guess one weekend if I am bored I will see if I can get them working (without spending any money on them). If they never work, it is no big deal. The silicone is a good idea. I should have thought of that.

Thanks
Roger

Did you ever take a look at your loose washer? I still havent figured out how they come off and if you fixed them I'm hoping you'll know.

Haven't had a chance to look at it. I sold my van rather quickly and had to find a replacement family vehicle. Turned out fine in the end. Proud owner of a 97 Chev
Suburban. Now, which will get better mileage>??

They are threaded at the bottom and held on by a nut underneath that the hose runs through...

i dont see how those sprayers would be functional without a wiper

spraying water onto crusty deag bugs on your headlights doesnt seem effective to me at all....

Ya I had the hose off and the nut just turns without loosenning (well it loosens up but only a little - the unit remains together). There's nothing to it but that? Maybe the last person to put them on stripped them bad enough that there were no threads left to help them come off. Think?

If that's all there is then I'll be keeping my eyes open at the wrecker I guess...
