Question looking for custom niki carb

hey,

i'm new to here, so forgive me if this is a repete question. i word searched and didn't come up with anything. anyways, i just got a 85 gsl. The car runs but won't
idle unless you tap the gas pedal. me and some friends looked at it, and if you pump manually on the accellerator (??) pump on the carb, than it idles fine. i talked to some rx7 guys and they told me about this forum and said that there is someone on here who lives in flordia who re-builds niki carbs with bigger jets and other small improvements. my question is who is this guy and how can i get ahold of him to get info about these carbs???

thanks,
lildann

I think you are looking for Sterling or Rx7Carl. Before you go ahead and get the carb rebuilt, have you checked to make sure you don't have any vaccuum leaks. With a vac leak, the car will idle very rough or just die if you don't keep your foot on the gas. I would try looking for a possible vaccuum leak.

Maybe your search returned nothing because you spelled nikki wrong! JK. But you are definately looking for Sterling and Carl. They will reply soon, just wait. They will help you out a bunch. Good luck.

He and Sterling work together to make the best Nikki carbs possible

PM them, or just wait... Carl will probably find this thread soon :P
