Look what I found in my car yesterday morning....
.... was in the garage, getting in my daily driver.... happened to look over at the 7 -- lo and behold, a visitor.
The car was in the garage overnight with the windows rolled up, but I had left the roof off. After I took its picture, it scurried to the front seat and under the pedals, trying to go up the firewall. Took a number of prods with a stick to get it out, which then it proceeded to destruction of my garage.
No critter dung in the car... haven't assessed for any scratch damage from walking on the hood.
Total pain in the ***.

Don't think your safe in Vegas.
Southern Calif, Chino Hills here. Had a recoon get in my garage overnight twice. Seems each time each critter's mission was to push everything off shelves to the floor if not the shelves themselves to the floor.
I was amazed at how strong those critters must be.

I'd be afraid of getting rabies, but I might also be inclined to throw some food at it.
There was one in my parent's back yard once. It climbed the tree and started spinning the hanging bird feeder around, twisting up the cable. He then came down and let the cable unwind, spraying food everywhere. Smart critters.
I pelted him with some pretzels. He didn't want em.

I had a couple of kittens crawl up up under my Turbo II and chill around my radiator and fan shroud. I thought it was gonna take forever, but some slices of ham as bait quickly lured them out of there.

Terrified.
They are dangerous creatures because they are very territorial, and aren't afraid to fight you if they feel they are in danger. They are also filthy, and full of diseases (Who'd have thought that an animal which sources most of its food from trash would be filthy and disease ridden?).

thats pretty wild. last week i had while i was working (i'm a police officer) i had a call to a residential neigborhood to "dispose" of a sick raccoon. i got there and had to shoot the raccoon, although i really didnt want to kill anything as i just left the scene of a fatal accident where i had to help pull a guy out of a car(while he was still barely alive but died just hours later) that hit a tree and that was grusome enough. i shot the raccoon in the head with the first shot. the thing jumped straight up in the air and began thrashing wildly. i shot it three more times(with 40 cal. hollowpoints) before it gave up the ghost. the moral of the story is that they're tough little critters and not to under estimate them.
