$5000 and the reserve is still not met. Any guesses as to what they have as a reserve? What is it worth really?

I saw this auction when it first opened. He initially had the opening bid at $8000. I guess he lowered the initial bid and put a reserve instead. I am guessing that his reserve is probably up around $7000 or so. Seems like a lot for an SE, even one that nice. I do think that the current bid of $5000 is reasonable for such a nice SE.

...aftermarket floor mats, wheel, shift ****, and brake handle, so you know it's not 'showroom'. It looks nice and clean, but that's part of a used car dealer's job, after all...

Common are you serious 7-9k? Just how rare are these and is there a big enough following of people who would pay that much for one? Theres like 4hours left and there is only 1 bid on the car and it didn't even meet the reserve. I think most people would rather just pay blue book for a 12a model which looks just as good.

I think the fair value of this car is still whatever the NADA deems its value at. Its not like its a 1950s car and only 100 are left in the world. I mean **** with $7k, a victoria british catalog, and a new paintjob you can make any 7 that nice.

well first low mile gsl-se's are rare, most of them have tons of miles on them, because they dont break. 2, that one is not sun faded, the door panels are still red, the guage needles are still orange, thats rare.
i agree that most people would buy a 12a car or a more average gsl-se for a more normal price, but most people dont have immaculate cars either.

If I said I had a late model Honda civic with similar miles for that price, nobody would blink an eye... try to look at it that way

It says it's got a 4-cyl, lol. Plus it has more miles on it than I have on my car. 63,000 compared to 56,000. I wouldn't pay that much for that SE, I buy a used 3rd gen first.

Very tru i guess its all up to perspective of the buyer. If origionality is what your after i guess you gotta pay 7k for a car that is worth (according to NADA)

Be careful...

That place sells alot of nice, high end cars. I've heard some bad things about them and, I am sure this car is just being sold for a friend, or on consignment.

They aren't VERY specific, but there is a reason. They are trying to sell the car.

That is a ridiculously HIGH price for the car, even if it is a GSL-SE. I wouldn't recommend anyone bidding, until they got to see the car up close.

Like someone else said.....it's their job to make the car look nice. They sell Ferraris and Lotus, Lamborghini.......high end cars.....so they have nice lighting.

They weren't far from where I used to live in Schaumburg, IL.

Oh yeah?

I buy my car with 40,000 miles on the odometer last month.

I find out in 1995, the car had 95,000 miles.

So.....either my car got originally "younger"......or there are ways to play with the term....."original".

GOOD POINT! DID ANYONE NOTICE THE CAR HAS DIFFERENT COLORS IN THE PICS? THE FRONT AND LEFT SIDE LOOK BLACK AND THE CLOSEUPS AND RIGHT SIDE PHOTOS LOOK GREY. IS THIS 2 DIFFERENT PICS? OF 2 DIFFERENT CARS???

Nah, that's the Sparkling Black Metallic reflecting the flash back in the closeups and not in the distance shots - my car does the same
