Long term project coming up, engine, suspension, everything, need opinions/help

All right, here's the situation.. I now have THREE RX-7's, one '84 parts car, one '80 SCCA ITA car, and one '79 that's my long term project, plus a TON of parts (literally).. so here's my dilemma:

First thing I want to do is take the '79 and drop in a 13B turbo of some sort into it, and later having it rebuilt, street ported, and higher boost. I'm guessing Japanese TurboII or whatever they have over there. Few questions I have:

What motor do you think I should use? (year, engine code, anything distinguishing), and Why?
What do I need to put that engine into the '79?
What transmission mates up to that engine, which ones fit in this chassis, and which one should I use (durability wise)? Remember, I have 10 different 12A transmissions (from various years) to use for parts on this thing, so I can use different shifter housings and such if possible
Is there anywhere you can direct me that has a LOT of info (like all the specs) for the 1G & 2G engines? (and cars too if possible). I haven't been able to find much of anything recently on the internet, at least nothing definite & comprehensive.

this seems to be a really popular topic and lots of people are trying to do the turbo swap, myself included. if you do a search there is many many threads that can tell you what you need.

imo for a motor for your car if $ is no option get a cosmo motor. second choice a 89+ turbo one because of better tubo and high compression.

transmissons you can fit anything you want in there but you! have to make it fit its not too hard to fit a turbo trans,
