locked up ?

locked up ?

have a 12a and was trining to stsart it on teusday and it started and ran like crap only ran it fvor about 10 seconds but now its thursday and I went to start it and its locked up can I do anything about it

Sounds like it's carbon locked. Check out this thread carbon lock - good news POWERFOAM DID THE TRICK!

Leave the Power Foam in the motor for about a week, then if you're able to start it, you'll need to take the car out for a drive at highway speed for at least 30 minutes to make sure the carbon and gum all gets blown out.

should I keep trying to turn by hand or can I hurt it I have alot of time into this motor and dont want to lose her

Well, the only way to tell if it's freeing-up is to turn it, but I'd wait as long as possible to let the Power Foam (or Techron concentrate) do it's thing before trying to get it to budge.

What is this Techron concentrate? Chevron gas stations say they have techron in the gas, would you say it's the same stuff?

Yes, it's the same stuff.
You can get it cheaper at an auto parts store than at the gas station.

Well I have only been trying by hand and it still hasnt budged putalmost a hole can in there I am in no hurry thou because I still need a new carb

well it been awhile with power foam and no luck I tried a chain vise grip around the e shaft pulley and it wont budge either way so I guess i am screwed the rotory samuria needs a new heart anyone got a 12a near pa cheap?
