locked motor

Hey guys I have a problem! I have a 84' GS with the factory 12A that is locked up. I was wondering if the ATF treatment will help to free it up or if I will be wasting my time? Also, is anyone looking for parts off this car? I have an ad at Partstrader.com
Thanks,
Jason

I got one like that at the junkyard once, I could do **** to get it to move, I tried a 3/4" rachet w/ a 3/4" socket on the front pulley of the motor and broke the damn rachet, i ended up just taking it apart...

Try filling the motor with diesel down the carb, and I mean full! Then leave it sit for 1 week and pull the plugs out ,put it in 4th gear and rock the car back and ahead while watching the crank pully. If it moves try to spin it over on the starter with the plugs still out till you clear the diesel out .Install a new set of plugs, some fresh gas in the tank and change the oil. then try to start it .It will smoke like heck from the diesel in the exaust but this will free up a motor that has dry seized. IT won't work if the motor has internal damage, but will free up one that has seized from sitting .I used this trick on a car I picked up for $150 that sat for 8 years without running. It works great ,I have been driving the car for two years and about 5- 800 mile trips now with no problems. It will take awhile for the apex seals to reseat and stop blowing oil(about 400-500 miles) so watch the oil level. good luck!

Diesel? never heard of that before, but I have nothing to loose, so I guess I will try it. The guy who had it before me said that it would turn over before it sat for a year in a cow pasture, so it is probably just dry-locked like you said. hopefully your idea will work!
Thanks abunch, Jason

If the diesel trick doesn't work you can bet that the housings are toast.

I picked up a locked 13B for my car a while back. I loaded it up with WD-40, Liquid Wrench, PB-Blaster and anything else I had and let it sit for a few days. Get this - I even rolled the motor over to get oil in places I couldn't squirt it (Gravity!!). Anyhow, it finally started to loosen up and I had to "rock" the e-shaft back and forth a little at a time and after a while I was able to go all the way around. Mine was carbon locked, not a broken apex. After 1 year of racing, I lost an apex. I'm sure having it locked up didn't help.

Good luck.
