little power to full non-strop power
Alright here is my problem...when i first got my 7 (85 se i belive) i ran great..im talking good power all the time...over the past 3 years it lost alot...when i brought it back to life after a overheat it ran the same, untill i beat on it...im driving normal shifting at like 5-6 grand and then i decide to redline like it a few...I bring it up to 7 grand shift(still low power) i shift in to 3rd and i sping the tires a bit...kinda odd...i let off the gas and its till WOT but it has the power it use to...i couldnt get it to stop..im talking wide open like 8 grand+..when i saw this i shut it off to save the engine..i have to wait like a min or so and its back to normal...low power...i thought it was linkage mabey but now im thinking something in the carb..like a float or something, i dont have alot of info on carbs but would a rebuild be in store? it has 150k on the original engine...any help is help

If it is the SE, then it is fuel injected and won't have a carb.
As far as loss in power, check fuel flow. May be time to do a filter change. Also do a compression check. If you have low compression, then, well, you know.
For your stuck throttle problem, I don't know if a TPS will cause that, but you can check it out anyway. Check the ease of movement of all the throttle linkage as well.
