Link Fuse

Inside the engine compartment, there are 3 link fuses, or "fusible links". One of mine has been temporarily replaced with stardard wire. Can you still get these? If so where? I've done a limited search and haven't been able to find them. I also understand that the center one can be the source of a lot of problems...

I would suppose any automotive store would be able to get ahold of them... fusible links aren't really anything special....

Well, I know this is Kansas and all, and "fusible links" just confuses folks here - but I've had trouble finding them at my local auto parts store.

Since these fusible links aren't very hot items, go to junkyard--chances are you'll find some there

Swap it with a 2nd gen fuse box and no more worries with fusible links.
