limited slip into an 85 GS
How hard is it to put a limited slip diff. from a GSL into a 85 GS. My friend is going to sell me a GSL that was in an accident as it will be too much to try to fix it. I thought that I could take some parts like the leather seats and the limited slip if it is not too hard to change. What other parts could be taken and changed easily?

8krpm is not enough
basically, you can swap the entire rear end over. It's not that hard, really just drop your rear end, and slap the other one in, connect a few lines and away you go.
need proof?

Tennis, anyone
Your gonna have disk brakes now,so depending on the shape
of the brake lines on the parts car,and are they both 5 speeds ?
you "may" need the drive shaft too,,it's not that bad,to change
rear ends, you'll just need brake fluid,,,I did it !! to my 82 GS
oh ,,and some rear end ,LSD gear oil too,,

Yeah the parts car is a 84 GSL 5 speed (my car is a 85 GS). I was also planning to put the power window mechanism in my car. Does anyone know if it will be easy to do this? Does someone know what else whould be easy and worth putting in my car (I am planning on putting the leather seats and leather door panels in as well).

I'm assuming your going more for the luxury thing and performance is less of a concern to you... cause if you're concerned about adding weight to your car, forget about the leather and power windows. I was amazed just how heavy those leather seats and door panels are. As for the power windows, you can install the motor and hardware (not the easiest job in the world, but its possible), but you might change your mind once you actually feel how heavy this stuff is!
