pineappleracing.com offered to lighten the 12a rotors for my motor for $750 memory serving me it was almost 1.5 lbs lighter each rotor.

Although the decrease in rotating assembly will allow motor to spin up faster and make some more hp, biggest gain is less shockloading of rotor GEARS.

I'll dig up the RB catalog tomorrow (too tired right now). I'll post once I get it.

Engine Year - Weight :
12A 76-82 10.15 lbs.
12A 83-85 9.60 lbs.

MazdaTrix has it on their web sight.
Also note:
The lightest stock flywheel/front counter weight was the '81-'82 12a.

Rob @ PIneapple told me about a guy who he was building motors for, for his GT3 Rx-7. Had the lightened rotors in it.
Was coming out if turn 9 at PIR, and was going 5th to 3rd, and accadently grabed 1st.
Said he vaporized the apex seals. Since the rotors are so much lighter, the spin up with llittle effort, and therefore are good for about 100,000 RPMs. thos vaporizing you apex seals.
Pretty narley ****.

if racingbeats race rotors are lighter, then they would have to sell the counter weights to go with them, but i didnt see any race counterweights so im guessing they aren't lightweight. fullsmoke, maybe they have some light ones that aren't on their website. 851stgen12A, 5th to 1st - thats crazy! i hope i never do that cause by the time i get my car finished i wont have any money left to repair anything. i imagine it would be similar to doing a 180 on the highway and going 80mph in reverse (brian o conner school of driving)

A really big exapperation. But I think you get the point.
Very little rotating mass, so it will rev alot higher, alot faster with a whole hell of alot less holding it back.
