Light for door lock

Hey guys
today I was cleaning my seven in the garage and my light bulb in the garage went out when I pulled on the door handle of my se it was locked, I noticed the light for the ignition switch went on but as I was putting in the key in the lock I thought I saw a grren light , lite up from the lock on the door,, was I seeing things or is there a light in the door that turns on as well, and the light was just escaping from the lock,,,,,, Really confused, but it would be a nice idea,

yes, there is!

My '84 SE has a red light that lights up the driver's side lock hole...Look in the book, it was a purchasable option. Works awesome for nighttime unlocks without scrathing the paint around the lock!

Some models do have a light ring around the ignition and driver's door keyholes.

My 84SE also has a light in the key hole, but I think it's green.

Wow that's weird, I just wired up that same light in my car, which never had it to begin with. I put in a green LED out of my friend's Civic (formerly a ricermobile, so they were everywhere, wired into everything) I wired it to come on when I put the parking lights on, looks good and stock.
