Lets talk about E-Shaft pullies!

Hey,

Got my hands on two different solid aluminum pullies recently and I was curious to see if anyone had direct experience with either of these, or something similar.

The stock E-Shaft pulley and hub is a multi piece setup on my GSL-SE. Main hub, then a double pulley held on with 4 bolts, followed by the power steering pulley
and A/C on the very end. The first two pullies, and the most important to me, are 115mm.

Mazda Racing 4 Belt pulley. I cannot find much info on this or the company. The best I found was another one for sale on ebay, and a website that has a dead page.
This pulley is the same size for all the belts and made of all aluminum. This measures at 95mm.

Unorthodox Racing 4 belt Pulley. Not any info I can find on this, except mention of one for sale on a very old thread on here. This has the first two pullies at 92mm,
then steps up to 113mm for power steering, and 93mm for the A/C. The pulley is all aluminum except a steel sleeve on the shaft that will be in contact with the front cover seal.

OK! With all that info on the table, what does it mean?

I would like to run the Mazda Racing red pulley, because... you know... its pretty. I run a lightweight steel flywheel already, along with an FD alternator. I would like to see how
streetable everything would be on a stock GSL-SE block.

Will I have cooling and charging issues? Is the Unorthodox pulley made with different sized pullies for a specific reason? Like to work properly for all the accesories?

They are both underdrive (smaller size) so they will drive the accessories a little slower. My
guess would be 20% slower. I have the under drive RB pulley and the RB alternator pulley as
well so I can run duel belts. I have no issues with charging or cooling. My car stays at 1/4 almost
all the time except when pushing it at a constant 6 grand in the mountains where the temp will
come up a bit to maybe 1/3. I have no AC, removed it awhile ago. May be putting back on in the
near future.

Thanks for the response.

I knew they were both underdrive, i was just really curious about how streetable they were. I installed the mazda racing pulley with smaller belts and I have no noticeable issues with cooling or charging. A.c. works fine too!

Now I have a question on the timing marks on this pulley. It has one notch, then a half inch gap or so, then 6 more notches.

I'm guessing trailing is the single notch and leading is the 6? Does anyone know what degrees these are?

Where would you set timing on a non ported na?

Currently hitting trailing about 1/4in after the single notch and leading is right after the 3rd notch out of the 6.
