Will an 80-85 front 12a brake caliper bracket bolt up to 79 spindles and backing plate? I'm wanting to use 80 calipers since its the same as an fb but has the sa thread pitch. I don't have it tore apart yet because I was unsure if I would have to change to An 80 or fb spindle or not.thanks

No need for a spindle change, but as you pointed out - the 80 will be the easiest one to do since the thread pitch is the same

Yeah they're strange for sure, as is the coarse thread pitch on the brake lines...
