I've seen you over on the fox t-bird forums. Good luck selling that car. Someone will want to pickup an odd-rod project just have to wait for them to find it.

That wagon looks pretty good. Is it as clean as it seems? How many miles? If it's reliable smooth decent transportation I could put it to use. And I live in Los Altos near foothills college, probly just a few minutes away.

Lemme know.

What 85GSL are you buying?

sad part is the stereos the most expensive "performance" upgrade you've put on it...hahahaha...if you put speakers facing out the back hatch they might propel it alittle faster...but it is a pretty sweet and clean wagon!!

Well this is the car

Specs
1982 Cougar Wagon GS
3.8L 232cu V6
C5 Automatic Transmission 3 speed w/ Torque Converter
53,500 Original Miles

Light Blue Metallic Exterior. - 2 years old, (primer, base, and clear coat)
Power Steering - Easy to steer, no noise
Power Locks - All the sensors work, except front passanger door won't automatically lock
Manual windows - all crank with no problems
A/C - (broken compressor, already tried to recharge it; R-12)
Cruise Control - Works like a dream
Has the separate rear glass hatch.

Changes:
Carb replaced 17 years ago. (from what my grandma told me)
Transmission replaced 6 - 8 years ago (from what my grandma told me)
2 year old Paint Job
New Pioneer DEH-P3600 Radio W/ New speakers
Radio: $189
Front Speakers: JL Audio 3.5" $54
Rear Speakers: Bazooka 5x7's (don't remember the price)
Replaced the headliner

-more at the bottom

Problems:
Dash Board Cracked
Dasboard lights burned out (already checked connection and fuses)
Rear Defroster doesn't work
A/C compressor broken
Hatch won't stay open, (glass and body)

Drivers door, and rear passenger side, were broken into but there is no damage except for the chrome trim, and there was minor leakage due to messed up weather stripping only on the rear passanger side, but that has been fixed.

This car has treated me well, and now i need something smaller and a little more economical, the engine is in EXCELLENT condition, no stalling or sputtering. The emissions are clean, hey if it can pass California Smog, it can pass anywhere. I want somebody who actually understands its value, and its uniqueness.

History:
My grandma owned this car for some 20 years, and she would drive it from her house to the store. Took a few long distance trips, after about 15 years she lost the ability to drive, so it sat in the driveway for another 5 years. Periodically I would go out there to start it up, and just take it around the block. About 2 years ago i got my hands on it, we took it down to the mechanic, because the tires were completely cracked and wasted. Well multiple things needed to be repaired, and it cost about $1,000

-New Head Gasket
-New Front Struts
-Swaybar was fixed
-Front end alignment
-and the ususal oil change and lube

nice thing was that my grandma paid for this.

Next came the paint job, which was a complete mess. The paint faded off and the hood, and roof of the car were all rust. So i took it to MAACO and i was looking at the different paint jobs, decided to go with the middle priced one. The expensive part was they had to grind down ALL of the paint and rust down to bare metal, so when everything was done it cost ME $1,000. After everything was guzzied up my grandma signed the car over to me and i have it today. Got it with 42,000 Miles.

This car has no problem getting me from Point A to Point B. The car is very clean.

PRICE: $1,475

I am currently Residing in SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA

if you have any questions just PM me

-Matt
