lets see your 12A non-intercooled turbo

Im doing a Blow-through 12A without an intercooler. Has anyone done this?

Id love to see your setup.

IIRC the stock 12aT that came on the Japanese cars was non-intercooled.

I don't know a huge amount about turbo setups but I'd say that going without an intercooler will seriously limit the size of turbo you can use and the amount of power you can safely make. The hotter the intake charge the more easily it can pre-ignite, so you'll have to run lower boost to make sure you don't blow your engine apart...

You could also use water injection to get the charge temp down.

Im aware of all the issues with this setup, as I understand as long as the PSI is kept under 10/7 it should be fine. Im not looking at making a tonne of power with this thing.

One of the forum members has already done one very successfully (cheers Frode) I just wanted to see any others that may be floating around so I can get some more ideas.

Ps. If a moderator could move this thread to "single turbo's" that might be a more appropriate area. cheers

and why don't you want to run a i/c? lag reasons?
