Brake line question

quick question. i've got a base model but have upgraded to GSL-SE brakes. a buddy is selling a new set of russell steel braided lines. i'm just wondering if they'd work on my application? thanks.

set of three is for drum brake models..set of four is for the GSL and up. as long as the set was built purposely for the disc brake 7's then the set will work fine on your SE.

Get the Russell part # from your buddy, contact Russell and ask them.

2nd gen calipers have banjo fittings, 1st gens have flared fittings. Save them for when you do the big brake upgrade.

as trochoid indicated, the FC uses the banjo style lines. you said base model which i thought could be S GS..which is why i had mentioned that the drum brake rear ends's lines would not work..there are only three lines as opposed to four on a 7 with the rear discs.
