yea, it does make it quieter, until secondaries open.. it's kinda tingy though, exhaust leak at the header/pipe flange and the muffler's on its way out.. it was on a few cars before i bought it. the tip is 5", not sure about the body of the muffler.

IMO, their exhaust only allows about half the potential of what a wide open exhaust would. Their primaflow muffler is just as restrictive as the stocker. But most of the gain is with the elimination of the cats. If you don't eliminate the cats, you won't see much gain at all. RB systems don't come with cats, and unless you don't have any smog testing in your area, its not worth making a custom exhaust. Most aftermarket high flow cats I hear clog up real fast on a rotary.

But to make a long story short, go custom if you can. Its cheaper, you get a better exhaust flow (if done right), and it will most likely have a nicer sound. Any racing beat exhaust I have hear has sounded like a honda. If you need the cats, don't bother messing around with your exhaust.
lol, you sure it was an rb exhaust you heard?

yeah my racing beat exhaust sounds nothing like a damn honda.

Its wicked. Further more racingbeat advertises a 5 HP increase by using their powerpulse muffler.

It does flow better than the stock one, much better. Gives a fantastic sound too.

I`am not using a RB system. All my silencers are glasspacks.
2.25" header,2.5" collector,into 2.25" single pipe system,with 3 silencers.

I`am pretty happy with it,allthough the glasspack hasnt had any stuffing in it for more than 2 years now. It`s basiclly just baffled now.
Is it loud?Yes,its loud.It wont make your ears bleed, but i gives a serious headace when driving for an hour.

Here is a pic of my header, designed by me!

Does anyone know if muffler shops will use thicker steel if you ask them to? I'm sure that if they did, they would charge more, but I would much rather spend $500-$600 than $800 on an exhaust system.

I would go to a metal supply place and buy the piping and bring it to the muffler shop.

Wackyracer:How much did it cost me?
Well,it was R120 to have the flange Lazercut.
The pipe, bending, collector, and connecting flange was supplied by the exhaust shop.
The bill came to R450 at the exhaust shop.

If i convert it to $,it would be + - $90 :-)
I made it a longish primary system. It collects at 39.5 " from the flange.I`ts specificlly for my application, and does not help with low end torque, but rather with topend.

Feel free to PM me,if you want more info.
