My DHLA 48 Dellorto is leaking through the choke and I can't seem to figure out why...

My best guess is due to wear on the needle and/or seat, but I'm not sure if that is it. I am pretty sure that it is backfeeding through the starter jet, and out those little ports. It only seems to do it when you come off the throttle too. I'll rev the car, then it will come back down to idle, and the little bowl will fill with fuel, and pour out. Anyone have any ideas?

That was one of the things that I had tried chasing, but was unsuccessful in solving the problem. I knew there was a possibility that my gauge was inaccurate, so I tried continually turning the pressure down until the car leaned out, and would barely run, so I'm pretty sure fuel pressure isn't the issue... does anyone have any other ideas?
