It's not a short shifter.
The Boot is an "El Cheapo" Pep boys special.

I got it a couple of years ago, while looking through
the "rice" section at one of the stores.

Sorry I can't offer any more info.

They look great. For you guys that have already mounted gauges on the stock panel, what do you do with your heater control *****?

the little dots below the guages are where my HDD LED and power LED will go

the usb port will be for my flash drive and other things.

my 2 cents, I too like the gauges above the radio. Closer to eye level like Wacky's. IMHO will look better when you have a gauge in the clock spot. Also if you could make a 3 gauge panel and leave the engraving off? Is there any other way to design it without having to use double stick tape? Thanks

Update

Akira and I met last night. Since there is more demand for the 84-85, that will be his first batch= short, long and completely making a sheet that would fit behind the panel. Also, with the SA, making a replacement panel like the RR&R one is an option. Hopefully, the samples should be available in next week.

ummm luiml73 wouldnt it be really unsafe to put that LCD screen there? At least when its in the dash its out of the way, it looks like where you showed it in the picture that it would block some of your vision of the road... which is the worst thing you can have, dont mean to sound like someones mom but I could see it being quite dangerous... Why do you say its quite dangerous down where it is? Because you have to take your eyes off the road? What do you use it for anyways GPS navigation?

Nah he uses it for watching pr0n while driving.

I do like the idea of the guages being higher, but can the heater/AC controls be relocated to the lower holes?

Actually, thats in my agenda..in my next junkyard run. I will look into that. I prefer the radio down below due to its weight. In addition, eye level is better for the gauges.

heres kinda wat i meant for on the bottem..
top i just trimmed what ive got to make it look more flush to the indent (in paint..) plan on replacin the tape player, so a precut DIN size for the top would be nice

just a thought for future, 84-85 first, more of them.. and their a needy breed of people

Batman posted here a while back about the first person to get prosecuted for manslaughter for watshing his DVD player and killing two people. At least if it's up on the dash, the windshield and surroundings are in my line of sight. The main reason for the screen, will be to monitor my Microtechs Data output.

If you look down for just a second too long BOOM!!!! 20years to life
