LARGE FB Brake Master options?

OK question for the FB builders, and technical side of thigns.

I have a coupel FBs and FCs. I am building my FB into something more potent than it is, as a ITA race car.
I have swapped over to 2nd gen brakes.

I am looking for a larger 1" master cylinder for it.

two options I have currently..

1. Swap out the brake booster with a FC booster, and run a 929 master cylinder.
2. Jump ahead and gut the dash/remove it, and put in the tilton assy that I already have.

Id rather find a bolt in replacement master cylinder that is a 1" bore and simply put it in. The FC has the bolts in a different orientation.

Ideas? Suggestions?

I have heard that the smaller (base model) FC brake booster will bolt up to the FB. Then you can use whatever FC master cylinder you want.

I have not done this myself just yet, but a local guy up here is running this setup and says its great!

Hmmm Small FC booster....

If thats the case.. then the normal FC booster should fit. Because I have done a Automatic to manual conversion a couple times and changed out the cluster under the dash...

I will have to look and see.

actually its cooler than that. Mazda uses the same bolt pattern on the booster for everything. everything! (even the honda looked like it was really close)

the FC is actually the weird one, the pedal box is spaced away from the firewall, so the studs are super long, but the SA/FB isn't.

so you can just go right to an Rx8 booster/master, or whatever you want.

i think so, we put an Rx8 booster in the FC, because the Rx8 booster was $80 new, and they had it, vs $1000 for the FD with no availability. so we didn't really check the FD.

and long vs short is only important when you're putting different boosters in the FC, the FB can take anything, as the pedal bracket is right on the firewall

so the 929 master uses a weird "new" style mounting, but its shared with the S5 t2 (also expensive new and rare used), FD, and basically everything after that.

hmm, we didn't look at miata parts, but every miata booster should work too.

Copied from my post in the racing section:

Swap it out for the FC Booster/GSLSE alum spacer and install a willwood 1 1/16 MC

M/C: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WIL-260-4893/

I use this combo with TII front calipers and Wilwood 4pots out back. That M/C Bolts right up. Just thread the engine bay side piston of the booster all the way in.

There is tons of room in the FB for that M/C.
