Koni Yellow Bushing Question

I'm working on installing new Racing Beat springs and Koni shocks/struts for my 85 GSL-SE. I haven't torn into the front yet, but would like to have all the parts ready so when I do dive in the car isn't on blocks for a while (I didn't know I needed new spring seats when I started doing the rear, so now I'm waiting for those to arrive. It's annoying). I have a pair of the Koni Yellow 8641 1072 sports and a pair of new strut bearings. The diameter of the strut is quite a bit smaller than that of the strut bearing, so I see why it's necessary to have a bushing machined. For those of you that have done this before, can you provide some advice? Did you just get a sleeve machined that fit directly underneath the threads you can see in the picture? Or did the bushing have some kind lip? Basically I'm trying to figure out if this bushing is going to be shaped like a simple cylinder, or if it needs a lip so the 22mm nut on top holds it down and prevents the sleeve from moving vertically once installed.

Thanks for any help!

I just made a simple cylinder, just like you said. It’s kinda wonky because of the double flats machined on the next larger diameter on the strut, but it seems to work and I don’t have any clunking.

other folks just buy camber plates that come with the correct sized spacer for your strut. I reached out to t3 and asked if they would sell me just the spacer, but the OD is different than the stock fb strut mount.

Thanks, that's good to know a cylinder will do the trick. I keep forgetting about going the camber plate route, but since I already have new strut bearings I'll probably stick with those.
