Koni shocks

I have always prefered Koni shocks on my cars. Now I have been told they no longer make them for a gen 1 but it is possible to buy one for an Audi and get it modified to fit.

Does anyone know or have experience about this?

There you go. I'd go with Koni over Tokico any day.

The rear ones look like stock replacements. Thumbs down.

Yes, you can have Konis modified for a gen 1, cost in Aus is for rears only $390 AUD.

Thought that was a little steep, so I opted for Tociko, had to buy them from the states as they are no longer available here.

Moses X605- many thanks for the information. Will try out the Classic Garage website.

Robert- Thanks for the offer of help, I will certainly take it up if there is a problem. Will be in LA next month, it really minimises the shipping costs to pick things up personally. I wonder if United will allow an engine as unaccompanied baggage!

ebay has RX7 konis almost every week: $50 a pair, front and rear available. New stock. I bought a set this way... best deal around on Gen. 12 shocks...

That's an ignorant thing to say. The 'stock replacement' Konis I have in the front of my car can be adjusted far stiffer than the OE inserts ever could be, the same is most likely true for the rears as well.
