At the high risk of getting cussed, flamed, or banned I need your input. My son wants a spoiler for his Honda, this ones $300. You knowledgeable people might know where I can get it cheaper.
Thanks for any input!
BTW, it's for his 16th birthday!

Please don't put that ugly, over wraught piece of crap on an FB...buy a purple Chevy Cavalier with stink bug rims (wire wheels that protrude 6 inches from the fender) to affix that monstrosity.

No worries, it's going on a civic! I won't even let him park close to my SE, they might mate and God knows what may come forth!

So far, looks like I'm stuck paying $300....

Hell... you might as well buy him a nitrous kit. I'd bet he'd like that a wee bit more than some wing.

I know if I was 16 and my dad got me N20 for my civic, he would be the way coolest person on the earth.

Just an idea

And that would also make him the most irresponsible dad on earth. Here son, go kill someone with your NOS kit. Make sure he knows how to drive a car with respect.

Try Ebay.
Try Spoilers.com
Pick up any Import Tuning Magazine and browse the ads.

You can probably score a wing like that, unpainted, for $149-199.

I would suggest a decent car alarm to go with it. I dont know if its jealous people, or jerks, or what it is......but I've seen alot of cars donning wings like that........where people just grab ahold and yank the damn wing off........breaking the wing itself, and bending up the trunk pretty bad.

I would have to agree, it does look hideous (and I am Honda Guy) but.......to a 16 year old kid......he will love it.
He'll pick up all the chicks, once the wing is installed, and painted in time for The Fast and The Furious 2.

Yeah, come to think of it, Ive seen about half a dozen cars here locally that are running with either bent up trunks or just the brakets for a wing. It looks like people are ripping them off (litterly), or stealing them. I just hope its someone trying to stop the "revoloution", haha. If they wont take em off, well do it for them, haha .

Thanks everyone! Got some leads from ebay as well as a great source from Drippa.

Now I know the perfect forum for all my HONDA needs!

BTW, the honda forums are pitiful, I've been there.

Ok, drippa, HOW did you know he put a stupid-looking exhaust tip in the end of his 2 1/2 inch tailpipe! The thing was so heavy it broke an exhaust mount!

You sure know your honda people.....

2.5".... all the honda's around here have about 1-1.5" tailpipes stock... MAYBE 2"

in reality, all the hondas around here have 4-6" tailpipes though

Oops, my bad. It is a tiny little opening out of that muffler. He's got a muffler he wants put on that has like a 2 1/2 or 3" opening. Should be fun.
At least him playing with the honda keeps his teen-age destructo-paws off my SE!

only thing I give my Honda over my Rex is that it gets like 3x the gas mileage.... and it's definately more reliable... but mine's not a riced-out mid-90's honda, it's an '81 Prelude... just a nice looking car that gets good mileage and is good in the winter. I'd never buy a newer honda unless it was bone stock and was just to be used as a nice family car.

Oh, believe me, he'd swap that honda right now for a RX-7 (he prefers 2nd gen), but he's not anywhere near the maturity level for a car like that. He's settling for a car that's not fast (93 civic DX auto) but wants the ricey look. He's already got the A.M. somethingorother stickers on the windshield, green washer lights, and his eye on lowering springs.
