I was wondering what this was it is on the back side of the instrument cluster. Thanks.

It's different from the one on the SA's (which is round) but it's either a buzzer, or the voltage regulator for your guages, which also is bolted to the back of your IP.

A buzzer usually has holes in it for the sound to come out.

What year car? Looks like the over-rev buzzer was moved off of the back of the IP from 82 on.

That is the lights on reminder bell. Disconnect one of the leads and then leave your lights on.
