Just FYI...there's no such thing as a '78 RX-7. '79 was the first year.

A weber 48 can support a bp, depending on chokes and jetting. Time to make friends with the search button and buy a good tuning book on Webers.

If you have a '78, it's not a U.S. vehicle...it was built for some other country. And I don't know for sure, but I don't think they were all called RX-7...I think some or all of those were called Savanah.

Savanna was what the Japanese called it in Japan. It was still an "Rx7" it just had its own name too

'78 model year cars are definitely imports, but '79 model year cars *made* in '78 are often found in N/A.

A local Ottawa guy has a J-Spec RHD '78. Hood mounted mirrors, "Savanna Green" (don't know the actual paint name, I just call it that), plaid rear seats, japanese labels in the engine bay, the works Really cool.
