just a thought that came into my head..

well i had a 2nd gen and was thinking about a 1st gen theres several on ebay and was thinking about buying a track car its an FB with a 12A all out track car suspension and everything and buy a cheap FB and transfering it all over the track car is currently at like 300 and theres an FB down the street for $200 and i got 2600 to spend also instead of having the 12A motor stick in a 13BT what you guys think?

Sorry, not trying to be a jerk, but it's MUCH easier to help when you have actual sentences in your post

Now to the topic: Yes, 1st gens make great track cars. So do 2nd gens, but they just weigh a lot more. Buy that 1st gen. If it's not cancerous for $200, it's a hell of a deal, running or not.

Depending on whether or not you wish the FB to actually be placed into a certain racing division, you might want to reconsider the 13BT idea. The addition of a turbocharger might put it into a new class which would require much more time and money to equal success. Ever heard of Spec7, ITA7 or Pro7? Search, and you might like what you find.
