That 'just serviced' feeling

yep..nothing can beat that. yesterday took the rex to have all 4 wheels balanced. Then to the exhaust shop to check for leaks and replace a worn rubber hanger. This morning gave the plugs and distributor a good clean. checked the coolant and oil. Didn't even check timing or carb. But boy is she a different animal....fires up without hesitation, very smooth, and then off the clock down the highway with no vibration....that for a car thats 25 years old this year ! Sure, its not my daily driver, but it puts a smile on my face everytime i take her out.

Oh, I thought you meant that you had just gotten laid! Congrats on the well running car anyway. lol. Now run some Seafoam through the gas tank (1 can to 1/8 tank of gas) and go for a drive. You will be pleased with the increased power, and your motor will thank you for cleaning up the apex seals...

lol. Seafoam is a cleaner/additive that can be pruchased at most parts stores here in the states. I don't know about availability in Aus though, but I'm sure an internet search will get you pointed in the right direction.

The stuff is simply awesome! I use a can about every couple of months, and always feel an increase in hp. I use one full can to 1/8 tank of gas when I do it. Basically, it removes the carbon buildup from the apex seals and restores compression.

17 years ago to this day, and this time, I rescued my rx-7 from a used car lotfor $3600.

The feeling of going to the smooth running rx-7 verses the RTD (rough tough and dangerous or Rapid Tranist Dept.) L A city bus is way way way more than just getting her serviced.

Used car salesman kept saying , "but sir we have this CRX honda that has a new paint job"

I put all the parts back on my car yesterday. I was afraid she was only running on one rotor from sitting so long that it was locked up. It was very illegal to drive down that street with no tags but it had to be done, and it was fun i dont think shes ever ran better. I <3 my car. Now to seafoam the gas tank drive it to the next garage to dissasemble it again and paint her. I have a fun 2 weeks ahead.

Lol, CRX. You made the correct choice.

The Seafoam treatment helps so much. I warmed my car up through a short drive, put the seafoam in (the drive was to get the seafoam ) and then let her idle in the drive for about 5 minutes, then did my errands for the afternoon on just under 1/4 tank. Worked like a charm.
