Just got screwed in e-bay!
Just bought two p185/50/13 tires. A momment after i paid i recieved an update stating the tires were actually little 175's. Now i know i can go bigger as i have 215's on the back but is it safe to go smaller in such a low profile tire?
Well, if you know a place where i could buy 185/50 in a 13" or even better a 205/ 65 tire let me know. These were cheap, brand new and i got them for less than 30 a piece. I would like to use them if i can , atleast for the time being til i get a better source.
I can get a refund, but i've been looking for a while for a set like this. And i half agree with the too low profile part but for the front with the big 215's in the back.. it's just the look i want.
What about some Sumitomo HTR 200's 205/60/R13

I run the same style tires on my 7, but just 205/65/R14

Sumitomos are squishy, squish, squish, I think they are made from marshmallows.
I had 2 on my fb, had to move them to the front becaise a random farm truck destroyed me in some switchbacks

The parts car I picked up last weekend has 155's on it and seemed to take a beating quite well for what they're worth, I'll check the profile when I get up tomorrow and post back... it's bed time
The diff in sidewall hieght is only 5mm... not anything to worry with if you want those tires.
I run Summitimo's HTR200 in stock size on my -SE rims and never had any issues with them sticking... they stick well and this even when I had the V8 in there.

"185/70/R13 is the stock size
Anybody have any experiance with the Yokohama Avid T4's in this size (don't mean to hijack)?"
I run the Yokohama Avid Touring 185/70/R13's and they are the best I've found for my daily driving, most out on the interstate. These are reasonably priced, high mileage tires (80,000 rated) exceptionally smooth and have great wet and dry traction for normal and spirited use.
Realize that smaller diameter tires (like the 205/60/R13s) are about an inch shorter than the stock 185/70/R13s) so they don't fill out the wheel wells and look kind of funny, in my opinion.
Also the wider track of a 205 tire will give you better traction for acceleration and braking but will also compromise handling and gas mileage. For a more or less stock car, the recommended stock size is best, they will give you the best steering response and overall performance.

Here you be the judge of how they look and fit. These are Nitto's 205/65/R14 but you get the point of how they look and fit. Plus yours will be a lil higher as these are DOT slicks, and bald as 90 year old man.
