I just got pulled over after leaving the gym at around 1:30am. And the cop told me my, "exhaust sounds like it has holes in it." I just acted like I didnt know anything about cars and thought it was loud and broken. And recommended I see a mechanic to fix the holes in my exhaust.

Then I drove and laughed. Silly loud Rx7s.

 

i think most people here know very well what happened to you. at this point i take mine out like once a month and i get stopped everytime. but then again all i have is a header to magaflow.....why spend money on exhaust when a 13b is on the way?

 

Well, you can do what I did: Get the RB SP system... All you need to do is swap the header when you swap the motor.

 

thats a classic manuver...another good one is "what is exhaust?"

 

the other day i was going to a friends house and trying to find it the neighbors called the cops, i made it inside his house before they showed up so they came and just left, then i left his house at like 2 am and one of them saw my car, and followed me a 1/2 mile before flashing there lights.
he said " i listened and your exhaust is fine to me. lolol. 2.25" str8 pipes and one of those 65 doller 3star racing mufflers from advanced auto. lol

 

Sweet. My exhaust isnt too loud, but still a cop magnet.

 

I cant see how my friend is living in laguna beach with a SR20 engine in his 240 with 3" straight pipe off the turbo to a N1 muffler...he could set a car alarm off with it (true story) but he has had it in SoCal for 4 months now as an everyday driver and hasnt gotten stoped yet...haha

 

it depends on who's driving... ive been pulled twice in the rx (RB - blown out pre - blown out two chamber) driving it on evenings and weekends, but suggah drives it daily to work and smiles of cops and they wave.


sometimes i wish i was a chick... Id have a 700HP supercharged 440 stuffed into a dune buggy frame with 5" straightpipes and i could drive it to work daily past the police station....

i get harrassed every time i drive around ann arbor. I have a ?bp? 12a, holly 465, rb sp header, rb duals, etc. etc. etc. notchy second gear, so i shift at redline 1-3 to get to the speed limit. havn't been pulled over, yet, but they always follow me and harass me, trying to get me to **** up. it's fun messin with the damn hippies here.
