I really like the dealership quility of these mats, and think they make a nice addition.

nice mats, but I also like that you replaced the ash-tray in your car with switches No smokers in the 7...

gamble302, i donot know if the wood will work well with my interior, but i will take the ****. email me. felix@atg1.com
i was thinking about taking out the pocket in my dash and putting gauges there, but i think i would miss the pocket mo much.. i will probably just put the gauges were the stereo should be.. perhaps i will mount the stereo in the glove box when i get one. who knows.

Shift ****
I'd buy the **** too. But if you really want to mount it in your Rex, I'll bet money you can be successful if you swap out the shift shaft from a 89-91 2nd gen (similar smaller thread size as a 79-80 1st Gen) so should mount right on.

could you directly bolt in a second gen shift shaft, or would have have to change the entire bell housing?
i would love to be able to put a fb shifter in my sa, but that is the problem that i have.. i will just wait till i need to rebuild my tranny, and then just get a new 81-83 one.
but back on topic.. those matts look awsome. they are really sharp and clean.. nice find

So, does anyone know if I can swap stereo surrounds? I dont see why I couldnt, as long as I took out all the wires/electronics that would get in the way...Mine has the audio fader/balance where his clock is, and I have the equalizer unit up kinda where his pocket is...Can I just put one of those surrounds like his in my car? Im never gonna use the equalizer again with my new stereo, and I cant think of anything I could/would put there. Same with the balance/fader thing. Well, I suppose I could just go to the junk yard and pick up a clock to go in where my fader/balance thing is (I dont have one otherwise ), and then make a panel and use the equalizer panel for switches and stuff...

is it a company selling the matts or what? i need marron with black writing. also you dont have to swap out the suround to remopve the eq and the joystick. just remove them and rig up the wiring so it still plays, i pulled out the stock stuff from my l.e. and put in the clock and pocket and a comp. kenwood deck.

The Shifter shaft thread OD is the same on a SA as a 89-91 2nd Gen. So, the wood **** will mount right onto you stock Shifter.
If you have a FB (81-85), then you'll need to swap out (I'm guessing will drop right in) the shifter from the Series 5 89-91 2nd Gen for the **** to mount.
On the floor mat conversation, 2nd Gen Floormats are cut exactly the same as a 1st Gen (SA of FB). And, the cut is important as if cut correctly, they won't shift around.
Drive well.

oh, and with the Shifter **** - Why not drill it out and re-tap it to the correct thread - no one will ever be able to tell. I did it to mine, I took a shifter out one of my Honda Accords, re-threaded it, and put it in the rex... it looks good
