Junk yard finds!!

ok so i needed some new strut mounts for my car since the steering return ....well doesnt return. so i went to a local yard and landed in treasure. a modded gsl-se. wat i grabbed today was the rb header, presilencer, front strut spindle and tokico illuminas. i also grabbed the muffler cuz it was shiny, so i just instinctively grabbed it too. how do i tell if its an rb or not? i plan to go back to grab the front mount oil cooler and possible the front cover as well as oil pan...MAYBE.

plus it was 50% day so i only spent about $150.

so how many of you guys get to see gsl-se's in a junk yard? im curious since its almost as rare as finding an s5 fc for me here.

I saw one gls-se about 6 months ago in Freemont but that was the only one ive ever seen. How was the shape of the header panel. The peace inbetween the front bumber and the hood. And what kind of shape was the passengers side fender in is you remember......?

o yea... is there a difference in hoods like the fc where some models have aluminum hood and some have steel? for some reason the hood on that car felt lighter..maybe its because my hood is held on by 2 bolts.

the only way to tell if its an rb parts is look for the "RB" engraving somewhere on it.... but it most liley looks like either a stock muffler or a pacesetter muffle

No difference in hoods. Is this at the San Jose Pick-N-Pull or some where else? I think I could use those body parts.

I wish I had a junkyard around here with Tokico Illuminas for an FB, and RB exhaust. That is great.

its a racing beat muffler for sure! to tell if the header is a rb, you'll see a cutout on the flange that says rb. AMAZING find! you best just buy the whole car!

I love rednecks! Seriously though I've see three or four Se models in the junkyards around Fresno. There is no lack of FBs in Fresno junkyards I couldn't tell you how many I've seen seriously. Which reminds me I do need to go get some more crap to store in my crap holder (garage)
