Jeep headlights

I've got an 83 gsl and I saw a craigslist ad for 7-inch jeep headlights, I think 2013. Could I get these to work on my FB?

any 7 inch round, high-low beam headlight should work provided the plug connection at the bulb is correct.

The connection is an H4. As long as you have the conversion pigtail it will work. Word of advice, don't do the conversion without doing a Putco headlight wiring harness conversion also. It switches the system to use relays and not run the high current through the ignition switch.

I have not put the electrical system on a test load yet with everything on but mathematically the amp draw should be 12.5 amps per headlight. That is with everything on, including the DRL.

Low Beam

High Beam

I am assuming that's with all LEDs lit,sum total of LEDs that represent lo beam and hi beam. 25 amp total of both lamps..the oe or halogen capsule sealed beam-both on high beam pull a little over half that. Would need to put those LEDs on a relayed harness as they draw a fair amount more current than oe setup.

12.5 amps! or watts? seems high. A 55w halogen at 12v draws theoretical maybe 4 amps . Those things draw 3 times that and given that leds are about 3x more efficient than halogen they must be absolutely nuclear bright. Do you have a link to where you bought them?
