JDM motors

I have decided to change out my engine.I disassembled mine and found significant chrome loss in the housings and possibly minor damage to the irons.I thought I would buy a 13b turbo from a JDM dealer.Any suggestions, opinions? I have a feeling there are lots of opinions.

JDM motors do not last long, before ever installing it, take it apart and rebuild it. Your wasting money/time otherwise
