Exclamation Jap-Spec Side mirrors???

Has anyone seen anywhere to get those jap spec side mirrors that came on the 1st gen in Japan, the ones that sit way out on the fenders? Any places you guys know of to get them would be great. Thanks!

No they are different, they are longer and are designed to sit up right rather than stick "out" of the side. I have no idea where you would find a set. Plus once you get them the fenders have special mounts, that are spot welded on under the main skin, then the mirrors is spring loaded and you insert and twist a lot like Fish On rod holders for fishing.

yea i want to do that as well, i love that look. i was thinking of just movin the stock sides to the fender but that would not look right.

im going to talk to a shop by me that imports stuff from japan mostly front clips. but my firend knows the owner real well and told me that when we go to japan(wich will be soon i hope need more $$ though) we can go to the junkyards get what we want and just through it in one of there crate's and have it shiped to his shop for free. i want to ask him if he can just tell one of his friends in japan to pick me up the fenders with mirrors for a small fee.

hopefully he will do it.

other than that any one know of a place that sells the sides we can use to conver ours?

The only guess I'd have is to go to Japan and look for an RX in a junkyard! hehe...

Has anyone tried going to Mazda, and asking them?

Mine arent power. And ya i think we should get a RHD picture page going, it would be cool to get a bunch of pics together. Plus i would like to see some of the things on your guys cars, cus im kinda going to originality, and my car is missing some things and i always am wondering what was different in japan as far as a lot of the interior stuff. Are any of your guys badged GT? or where they all GT in japan?

Try www.selectmaz.com.au
They sell a BUNCH of hard to find stuff like badges mirrors and stuff, they love the classics, so you might have some luck there.
