I had my FMOC flushed and cleaned and my radiator stripped out and a brand spankin' new 3 core put in it for $325. Money well spent, IMO.

Tomorrow, I'm going to add some Water Wetter to my setup as some extra insurance.

Now, I just need to buy a new A/C compressor.... Heh.

All you guys rock!!! Thank you all for the help thus far!!!

I had mine boiled out and i added a 160 degree thermostat. All new hoses and what not when I rebuilt the motor. Well she never goes past the 1/4 mark. All thru deals gap running high 6-7k's in 2nd gear and when running wide open on the interstate she sits at 1/4. The bad thing is she does run rich when it is cool outside but would rather run a little rich and cool than hot.
Good luck

My rad was rebuilt as a 3 core, they couldn't fit 4 cores in there, it is a huge improvement, way more cooling ability. Ensure the lower part of your existing rediator actually has the vanes in it, mine were all rotted away.

There are 2 types of cores.
Be sure to get the high efficiency. It has more fins to route more air to the core. Similar to the SEER rating on domestic refrigerators.
