-a nice fitting carbon sunroof panel would be nice, especially since the originals are hard to find for my 79.
-hatch/tail light area sub box. something that looks low key and doesn't eat up a bunch of room.

A dash replacement would be really nice, though I don't need one myself. Also, a vented hood, either fiberglass or carbon fiber.
Ooh, and stock-replacement FB taillight covers.

+11 recessed headlights (dual lamp)
+2 on pop up lowprofile headlights too (dual lamp also pls)
+2 on an array of custom taillights that plug into the existing wiring fb and sa.
some kinda aftermarket center console, insert or whole unit (panels or cutouts for radio, guages, whatever). For that matter about any interior items that are 'perishable' with wear or weather.

I would like to see some NICE FITTING fender flares that are plug and play. I mean an idiot can bolt them up in 2 hours by himself! No modding..no expert body work needed. Literally...four pieces that bolt up to the 1st gen body and BAM! your done.
You would sell a bunch. I am sure of it.
and I may be the minority here but I would like a economical CF NON VENTED hood. Alot of people want/need a vented one. I do not...just a nice simple bolt on clean hood.
and yes...some nice interior bits. Maybe like how Porsche and other high end cars have it. Simple pieces like mirror covers, e brake cover, center console, door panel inserts, gauge cluster etc. are in CF. These pieces once molded and fitted..would sell like hotcakes .
my 2 cents!

How about fabrictating every single part on the FB to look like something else, so that in the end, our 7's don't look anything like 7's anymore! Come on guys, where do you draw the line?

I have been working on flush mounts for a while now. I have even talked to other manufacturers about this issue and they don't think there is enough interest in them. I tried to convince them otherwise, but they have the dollars to think about, even when I told them to send me the materials, I make them, they market them. I agree, flush mounts will do more good for the aero and overall style of the car. I have already done tail lights and have had several comments on them. Either of these would be great with the right price of course. The more interest, the cheaper they can be made if someone is truely interested in making a product to enhance the car over simply making a pile of money and running like CP Racing. Most of the folks I've talked to that bougt they're kit, had condensation build up in them in no time. Headlights are a must.

I would also like to see vented CF hoods, BOLT ON fender flares (datsun 240Z style). Maybe a bumper similar to the now out of business Kamei bumper. Only one that doesnt bolt onto the existing bumper, but rather is an entire bumper itself, so it flows better with the body lines. Make any of those three things at a fair price and you'll have me for a customer, garaunteed.

the Mazda goes HMMMMM!

Hey Ken, nice to see you over here.
Just so everyone knows, he has been a fixture over on several Protege forums for a while now (that I know of). He has come up with some great products for several models of Mazda (just recently an exhaust manifold and upgraded high pressure fuel pump for the Speed6).
Back on topic, I personally would like to see a widebody kit like the one Erebuni used to offer. It was what used to be sold by Mariah as their Pacifica kit. I have a picture but won't be able to post for a couple of weeks until I get to land (our satellite hookup is 35 kbps). I have a set of the side skirts for the kit if you need a mold! Haven't been able to find the rest of it though.

The pop-up headlights on FB's are just one of the things that makes our FB so unique. Who needs flush headlights? lmao. It's like mike said, gotta draw the line somewhere!

1. Kit to facilitate mounting 92+ 13B engine.
2. Double wishbones front and rear. Wishful thinking, but how about at least a cradle for the rear end, a modern IRS conversion.
3. HID kit for the popups

i also would like to see a good looking and decent priced flush headlight kit, possibly with hid's , tail light idea's and one that no body has mentioned.. the euro style front blinker/city light setup.. and i would also agree on the bumper mods..
and i am sure this might **** off a few of the purists out there.. but really modding and customizing the look of our 7's is nothing different that the old school muscle car guys "street rodding" their cars . a lot of them dont look like they originally did.. its all about each of our own personal taste, but ultimately as long as another 1st gen is on the road and not all beat to hell like a lot of them are around here (in my area) then that means fewer of them rotting in junk yards or going to the crusher. personally i think more of them on the road is more important than worrying about weather or not it has popups or not.. at least its not as bad (in my opinion) as dropping a piston engine into it.

thinking of just the glass or something else?
hey good to see you. thanks for the kind remarks.
of course. i'm well versed in the protocol on other forums, i just want to be sure i step on no toes here.
i'm amazed there is so much demand for a flush headlamp kit. i can do strut bars for sure, have them powdercoated in choice of color etc. HID kits are a definete possibility as well. i think i can get something put together to fit the factory pop ups. i have a good contact for CF hoods and he has quoted me pricing, however I would need 10 guaranteed customers to make such a thing happen. Keep the ideas coming!

Will the CF hoods be vented? There already is HID kits when you get an Hella or similar H4 Housing. Like I've done for mine.

I would really, really love to see Knight Spors-esque HID pop-up kit. It's totally an aesthetic mod, but I don't know of anyone offereing something like this for FBs:
On top of that, I would love bolt-on fender flares. Why someone hasn't capitalized on this yet is beyond me. If I could fab stuff, I would be in my garage making a kit right now.

Wow, that car looks good. Those headlights are pretty cool, but I've seen a car posted on here before with a setup like that. Don't know how well it looks up close, tho.
