issues with secondary carb
I just bought a couple of 79's that sat for 15 years. I had no fuel getting to the primary carbs at first but after tearing it apart was able to get it going. Now the problem I face is that the engine likes to backfire, and only two of the jets spit fuel. Any thoughts?

Thats the only ones that you will see squirting fuel. The secondaries are vacuum operated and you will not see them squirting fuel.
Backfiring on that model is an inherent problem.
Do a search using the term backfire or backfiring, you will find threads that will cover this subject.
Also since you are new to the forum. Spend some time reading the FAQ section.

Look rad, we all know that in the vurtial world you are bettere than everyone else. You can have that title. I'm just looking for advise on how I can get my car on the road, so how about passing some of your "expertise" on my way. The car starts just fine but only idle's at about 500 rpm's( did I use the correct terminology rad?). Once running, it likes to bog and die unless I feed it some gas. I can put it in gear but there's very little power. I've searched the FAQ's and similar threads hinting at accelerator pump, compression issues, vacuum lines, even a bad soleniod. My vac. lines seam o.k. and the compression sounds uniform after pulling my plugs as well. My question is what would one advise be the next step?

Nice, a n00b with an attitude.
I would check ignition, for a lowered idle and increased backfiring are symptoms of either a) you lost your leading ignition or b) your ignition timing is too retarded. Time to take out the timing lamp and see if any of the above is true.
