ISC Racing radiator, opinions?

Is anyone using one of the ISCRacing 1st Gen radiators? What do you think of them? Is it a good buy?

yep we have one, we have not ran the car yet, fit is really good, no modification required, to mount it atleast. i'm fairly certain the stock mechanical fan would not work with this setup. Also you will have to relocate your FMOC. overall good product. The track will tell us how well it cools. The owner said he doesn't even run a fan on his EP car.

Why did you choose it instead of the Ron Davis/Mazda Factory Race radiator?

That looks a little too identical to the Howe to justify the extra $50. Just call Howe with your dimensions, mention it's for a first generation RX-7, and they'll hook you up. I just ordered one for a customer car a few weeks ago, they were helpful and speedy. Best looking radiator I've ever seen, I might add.

You could buy two, put one in the car, and hang the other on a wall, they look that good.

it is a howe just isc puts little brackets on it so it pops right in, and spray paints they're logo on it. Does Howe put the brackets on it? if yes then we got had haha.

I also have an ISC radiator & their 1st gen oil cooler. Only used them on events in Oct. 2004 at Blackhawk Farms in Rockton, IL. & Gateway in St Louis, IL. When the air temp is 50/60* there is not enough water or oil temp. Ron, it is a Howe radiator with side plates added by ISC. Feel better ? We in the north may need to add some blocking panels to bring our oil & water temps up on cool days.

Have Fun ; )

Judging by that picture, all ISC does is drill the holes. The Howe has a wing on each side, always has, but it's undrilled. Drilling holes can be difficult, but not $50 difficult! I wouldn't consider it getting had, though.

Oh - and I forgot. The Howe doesn't have an overflow barb, but come to think of it we told them not to worry about that (they didn't have any in stock, or something to that effect) so we just stole the one off the bent Howe. I think that's a $.99 at HD/Lowe's item, though.
